Pickup and Drop-off Services
When doing the booking at our website, please do not forget to choose first the pickup and drop off locations, after that you can select dates and time. Following these steps, the website will calculate any pickup, drop off or out of hours fees that might apply to your booking.
International Airport of Madeira (Cristiano Ronaldo)
Pickup or drop off service at the Funchal Airport is free of charge for bookings with 7 days or more and from 07h31 till 22h30. For bookings lesser or equal to 6 days, a pickup or/and drop off service fee of 15,00 Euros will be charged.
For pickup or drop off service from 22h31 till 7h30 an out of hours fee of 40,00 Euros (CASH ONLY) will be charged. This timeframe refers meeting our employee, not when the plane lands, Example: your plane lands at 22:10 and you meet our employee at 22:35 an out of hours fee is charged then. This also applies to Lobo Marinho (Port) pickups or returns.
Car deliver services at Funchal Airport are only made when the client pre-notifies flight number and flight arrival time.
We will be waiting for you at the arrival hall, holding a sign with your name on it. Our representative will assist you to sign the contract and payment procedures at the airport!
Hotels In: Funchal / Garajau / Caniço / Santa Cruz
What qualifies as a hotel are those who possess 24 hours of open reception and their own parking area.
Pickup or drop off service at Hotels, Funchal, Santa Cruz or Caniço is free of charge for bookings on the normal office opening hours (09H00 till 18h00). For pickup or drop off service at these locations, from 18h01 till 08H59, a 20,00 € Out of Hours Fee per service will be charged.
Pickup and Drop-off meeting point will be at the hotel specified in the booking or other location previously confirmed with Funchal Easy Rent-a-Car
AirBNB, Private Apartments, non-Hotels in Funchal / Caniço / Santa Cruz
Pickup or drop off service at AirBnB, PRivate Apartments or Hotels without parking in Funchal, Santa Cruz, or Caniço has a cost of 15€ per service (Pick up and Drop off) for bookings on the normal office opening hours (09H00 till 18h00). For pickup or drop off service at these locations, from 18h01 till 08H59, a 20,00€ Out of Hours Fee per service will be charged.
Pickup and Drop-off meeting point will be at the address specified in the booking or other location previously confirmed with Funchal Easy Rent-a-Car
Offices of Funchal Easy in the city of Funchal (Headquarters)
Pickup or drop off service at the rent-a-car Headquarters is free of charge on the normal office opening hours (09H00 till 18h00). For pickup or drop off service at these locations, from 18h01 till 08H59, a 20,00 Euros fee per service will be charged.
Pickup and Drop-off meeting point will be at Funchal Easy Rent-A-Car Headquarters
Other Locations
- For pickup or drop off service at Santa Cruz, Machico, Caniçal, Cabo Girão, Jardim da Serra, Eira do Serrado, Ribeira Brava, Ponta do Sol, Calheta, Paul do Mar, Prazeres, Fajã da Ovelha, Porto Moniz, São Vicente, Ponta Delgada, Santana, Porto da Cruz, etc, a 40,00 Euros fee per service will be charged. Service available from 9h00 till 18h00.
- Pickup and Dropoff meeting point will be at the hotel reception or other location previously confirmed with Funchal Easy Rent-A-Car
Booking Confirmations and Payments
- The bookings made through Funchal Easy Rent-A-Car will have a status of "waiting for confirmation". In the next 24 working hours (It could take more time during Weekend) you should receive an email of confirmation or an email indicating the reason of cancellation, Please check your spam folders in case you haven't received your e-mail.
- Last minute bookings with pickup for the same day or less then 24 hours of pickup time must be confirmed by the client by phone call to (+351) 291 762 235, (+351) 917 840 513 or (+351) 917 840 532. We don't guarantee availability for this kind of bookings.
- An email with booking confirmation will be send directly from Funchal Easy Rent-A-Car Office to the client's email and will also confirm the price to pay.
- Bookings with invalid email or mobile contact won't be considered and deleted 24 hours after being received.
- An extension of the rental period can be made. Funchal Easy Rent-a-Car must be contacted 24 hours before the rental period ends, so we can prevent overbooking.
- We only accept payments in CASH, Debit Card and Credit Card with the exception of out of hours fees, that need to be paid in cash.
- After confirmation by our services of your reservation, it will be valid until half an hour after the time determined to pick the vehicle. After that time, if the vehicle is not picked up it will be considered a cancellation.
Rental Conditions:
- Minimum rental age is in-between 22 and 65 years and 1 year driving experience, otherwise, costumer must leave a deposit of 1000€ in Cash.
- Please ensure that you have your ID Card or passport and a valid driver's license.
- The minimum rental period is for 3 days.
- Rates, deposit values, fees and VAT are subject to change without previous notice.
SCDW and CDW Fares Includes:
SCDW - Super Collision Damage Waiver
- Fare with SCDW insurance covers the vehicle own damages and damages made on third party vehicles in case of accident.
- Fare with SCDW insurance covers damages on rear-view mirrors and rims, tire punctures, sliced tires, car interior, car interior and exterior damages.
- Fare with SCDW insurance has theft protection, except for personal objects in the vehicle.
- In case of accident, you must contact always our insurance supplier, please check his number on the signed contract at car pick up. They will explain how to proceed on these situations.
What is not included?
- Damage to the vehicle caused by negligence.
- Any type of violation of the Street Code.
- Out-of-hours fee, if applicable and Displacement if applicable.
- Damage resulting from driver's negligence to rims and tires, inside, roof, bottom of the car, keys (including loss of keys), locks, antenna, documents (including loss thereof), license plate and any additional equipment supplied with the vehicle.
- Damages from wrong fuel usage.
CDW - Collision Damage Waiver insurance - At the moment we are not offering CDW prices. only SCDW
- For CDW Price it's mandatory to leave a deposit/bail bond of 1000€.
- Fare with CDW insurance, after deduction of the security deposit amount, covers the remaining expenses regarding to the vehicle own damages and damages made on third party vehicles in case of accident.
- Fare with CDW insurance does not covers damages on rear-view mirrors and rims, tire punctures, sliced tires, car interior and exterior damages.
- CDW insurance has theft protection, except for personal objects in the vehicle.
- In case of accident, you must contact always our insurance supplier please check his number on the signed contract at car pick up. They will explain how to proceed on these situations.
Important for SCDW and CDW:
- Both fares have unlimited kilometres usage.
- Clients must drive in accordance with the laws of Road Code of Portugal, otherwise will subject to the legal consequences provided by the Laws of the Road and Civil Code of Portugal. It applies in cases of negligent driving or driving under the effect of alcohol or narcotic effect.
- A damage report must be completed by the driver for any damage to the vehicle, however minor it is. If a collision occurs, a police report and case number must also be provided. Clients must contact us immediately in the event of any damage. If this procedure is not followed, the insurance cover could become invalidated, leaving clients liable for all damage.
Extras:
- Additional driver cost 10€ extra per booking.
- Baby seat / booster seat are provided on request for only 5,00 Euros and 1.00 Euros per day, respectively.
- Fuel is not included. Car should be returned with the same fuel level as received
Due to special seasons such as Christmas/new year, summer, Easter, carnival and other holidays, it is frequent to have all vehicles reserved. To avoid this situation it’s recommended to make your reservation as soon as possible.
